I started packing tonight. Obviously, there's lots more to do, but here's my war room (aka: the dining room).
The red bag has the chenille blanket and small pillow; the yellow bag has a pair of pajama pants (will I even need/want them?!), my maroon fleece, and night gear (3 flashlights, 2 reflective vests, 1 headlamp, and a partridge in a pear tree).
Did you notice the pickles?! They're there! In front of my white visor, there's a tupperware with small paper cups. Why paper cups? For the pickle juice!!!
Next up is the "sack 'o technology." This has sort of become a tradition with the leopard-print bag that was given to me by Judy. The first time Dave and I took the boat to the Bahamas, I put all of the "technology" (digital cameras, cords, chargers, etc.) into that bag (hence the name "sack 'o technology"). The netbook is too big to go into it, but the charger for it, the iPhone charger, two inverters, and a yet-to-be-gotten power strip will all live cozily there.
That's about it for now. Tomorrow's the last day to prep stuff before Friday which will be an early, early, early morning for sure!
Does everyone bring this much, or are you taking care of the packing for the whole team?!? I am getting so excited. Can't wait to read your posts during the relay!
