Here's the thing: I love my sleep. Not just "love" as in "I like it," but as in "I really love my sleep," hence the saying "fire, flood, or blood." If it doesn't involve one or more of those things, do not wake me up.
I love my Tempurpedic mattress and my handmade rag-time quilt (thanks, Mom)! I love having tons of covers, being able to let me toes hang off the end of the mattress, and using my king-sized down pillow. I love the ceiling fan that gently blows air and keeps the littlest bit of white noise in the room.
You might be calling me a "sleep princess." I would not take offense to that. In fact, I'd probably say that you're on to something! I take my sleep seriously. If I could sleep as soundly & deeply as Spanky, I'd be in heaven! He's a true sleep inspiration!
This is not Spanky. |
So where does that leave me? Good question! Here's what I'm thinking, but I'm going to ask people who have done Ragnar before if this sounds like a decent idea.
Stephanie, a fellow Team Essen member, suggested that I bring a sleep mask, so that's definitely on the list!
It's probably too late to get it, but how hysterical would it be to use one with the "Ramona eyes" on it?! If you have no idea what "Ramona eyes" are, you really need to start watching Watch What Happens on Bravo!
Back on track - the stuff for sleeping! If I bring my maroon fleece pullover, a small pillow (not even a "regular" one), and a chenille blanket, I might be able to attempt to sleep. (Please notice the emphasis on the word "might." This is going to be a true stretch for yours truly, the sleep princess.)
Although, maybe I should invest in this! I'm sure it's guaranteed to give a good night's sleep, don't you think?!
I think you are spending a fortune on Ragnar items. Relax - you'll sleep because you will be exhausted. I recommend your IPod with a book on tape that bores you to sleep.
